Carles Martinez
Carles completed his massage education at the Oxford School of Sports Massage, obtaining his BTEC Level 5 Diploma in February 2015, thereby establishing his expertise in massage therapy. Acknowledging the intricate connection between movement and recovery, he expanded his knowledge by becoming a certified Pilates teacher with Body Control Pilates, delving deep into the complexities of body movement.
Undaunted by challenges, Carles persisted in his pursuit of excellence. In June 2023, after 3 years full of challenges, he achieved a remarkable feat by attaining a BTEC Level 6 diploma in sports and clinical massage, the highest massage qualification obtainable in the UK. This accomplishment underscored his dedication to mastering his craft and delivering exceptional care to his clients.
Presently, Carles operates in his Rebalance Clinic in Peebles and serves the University of Edinburgh within the Sports Medicine Clinic (FASIC) in the Sports & Exercise department at The Pleasance, working with a wide range of clients, from Olympic athletes to weekend warriors, and everyone in between. Carles is part of the Soft Tissue Therapists Association (SMA) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) which is approved as an Accredited Register by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
